Regional Review Meetings (RRM): A New Governance Model for Kerala

The Kerala Government successfully concluded its pioneering Regional Review Meetings initiative, where the state cabinet directly engaged with district officials to resolve development and administrative challenges. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan affirmed that these meetings:

  • Introduced an innovative governance approach
  • Achieved 93% resolution rate for identified issues
  • Accelerated key projects across sectors

  • 697 state-level issues identified → 582 resolved (83.5%)

2. Poverty Eradication
  • Targeted 64,000 extreme-poor families identified in state surveys
  • 93% to be lifted from poverty by November 2025
  • Launched 'Avakasham Utsav' for streamlined ID card issuance

  • LIFE Mission
    • 54,648 houses completed (2022-23)
    • 11,757 houses completed (2023-24); 25,000 under construction
  • Jal Jeevan Mission - 18.14 lakh water connections provided
Education & Healthcare
  • Vidyakiranam:
    • 134/141 schools renovated (₹5Cr project)
    • 385 schools (₹3Cr) and 446 schools (₹1Cr) underway
  • Aardram Mission: Hospital upgrades and lab network expansion accelerated
Environment & Tourism
  • Haritha Keralam (Green Kerala): Green tourism and carbon neutrality initiatives reviewed
  • Malinya Muktha Keralam (Waste Free Kerala): Treatment units expedited in delayed districts
